Language Arts

Reading:  We are working hard on building stamina when reading silently to ourselves. We are learning how to stay focused, read inside our heads, and notice details when we read.

Writing:  We will continue to focus on growing our writing by adding details to our ideas.  Details always make our stories so much more interesting!

Phonics/Spelling:  We will talk about how silent e changes the short /i/ to a long /i/.

Social Studies -  We will be learning about holidays such as Independence Day and Veterans Day.

Science -  We will describe and sort components of soil by size, texture, and color.

Birthday Treats

Birthday treats brought by students must be store bought, have its ingredients listed, and run by the nurse before given to students.  It is recommended that the treats are individually wrapped and nonperishable treats that are easy to pass out. 😊 Birthday treats will continue to be passed out at the end of the day to be eaten at home.
